Subject: Policy on Equality, Impartiality and Justice in Human Resource Administration

        The Gender Equality Act of B.E. 2558 (2015), which was issued in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, states the significance of human dignity, rights, freedom, and individual equality. This policy and its guidelines for the University operations were stipulated with respect for human rights, non-discrimination and no limitation of rights and benefits, either directly or indirectly with regard to ethnicity, nationality, age, skin color, religion and belief, gender, marital status, physical disability, and socio-economic background. Thusly, Khon Kaen University has stipulated the following policy and guidelines for the University personnel:
        (1) There should be an awareness of the values and the importance of equality and the variety of individuals, for justice and non-discrimination.
        (2) During the processes of employment, recruitment, selection, implementation assessment, training, professional progress, rights and benefits, welfare, and other related matters, operations should be conducted impartially and justifiably.
        (3) There should be an awareness of employment that is based on law and justice without using forced labor, slave labor, child labor, and/or labor from human trafficking, including penalties, which involve physical or mental cruelty.
        (4) The treatment of outsource administrating officers shall be impartial and justifiable, and should be based upon the principles of selection and the recruitment of outsource administrative officers that are justifiable, transparent, and accountable. The University shall be an employer that gives the appropriate remuneration without discrimination.
        (5) In order to build good working environments, measures shall be taken to prevent sexual harassment and to provide solutions for any situations that may arise during the work.
