Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies holds the “Bai Sri Su Khwan” ceremony for 2020 freshmen

July 29, 2020 in front of the Lecture and Laboratory Building 1, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai Campus – the “Bai Sri Su Khwan” ceremony was held for the new freshmen of 2020. The ceremony featured wrist-tying with threads, which follows the gracious tradition of Isan Region. Assoc. Prof. Piansak Pakdee, Acting Dean of Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies conveyed the welcoming address and a speech to new students, the 57th Class of academic year 2020. Over 500 administrators, lecturers, supporting staff and students attended. And to observe the prevention of COVID-19, all wore masks all through the ceremony.

Assoc. Prof. Piansak Pakdee said, “On behalf of Khon Kaen University, I welcome all freshmen to KKU and wish you all success and happiness in the studies and living. For many of you who come from other parts of the country, it will be necessary for you to adjust yourselves and learn to live with new friends in a new place. You have to spend your time effectively for learning and for other activities. I hope all of you will work hard, observe regulations and rules of the university and the country. Please remember that Khon Kaen University students are intelligent and will grow to be leaders of communities who help develop the country in the future.
