Attendants included Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriuakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, the chairman of the Master Degree Program in Business Administration for Digital Entrepreneurs; and the steering committee members: Assoc. Prof. Pensri Chaorenwanich, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy; Assoc. Prof. Chupong Thongkhamsamut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Architecture; Asst. Prof. Somkiat Srijaranai, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Sciences Assoc. Prof. Sumalee Chaijaroen, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education; Assoc. Prof. Prapansak Chaweerach, Ph.D., Director of the Academic Development and Administration Bureau; Asst. Prof. Panupong Wanjanthuek, Ph.D., representative of the Faculty of Architecture; Asst. Prof. Siraphat Chiawchanwatana, Ph.D., representative of the Faculty of Sciences; Asst. Prof. Wirach Wongpinanwatana, Ph.D., representative of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Chairperson of the Business Administration Program for Digital Entrepreneurs; Assoc. Prof. Jarunee Samat, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Education and Quality Development of the Faculty of Education; Assoc. Prof. Angkana Thonpoon Patanasorn; Miss Orasa Thongkhot, Miss Rungthip Jullang; and Miss Natthaporn Wongkaew, the Program Coordinating staff.
The meeting began with the report of the past progress from the public relation of the program via the “Look at Isan” Program on NBT, a voice report from FM103, and the meetings to discuss collaboration with external organizations in order to develop the skills necessary for the students, such as The Northeast Software, Business, and Innovation Association (NESBIA) and Oracle Academy.
Students are enrolled past TCAS, Round 1 and 1.2, and by Portfolio and the High Potential Student Project. There were 172 applicants and 80 already reported. There is a plan to enroll 18 more students for the second round through the Northeast Quota, and 6 more in the third round via the general National Admission.
During the first semester of 2021, 18 credits are in the plan. The courses included one course of the Language Institute and 2 courses in General Education. The program is now under planning and preparation of the instructor team. There are 6 more positions of lecturers open for application as follows: 3 in the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, 1 in the Faculty of Sciences, 1 in the Faculty of Engineering and 1 in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Everything is being prepared for the readiness to open in the academic year 2021.
