Architecture ajarns from KKU trains OTOP women groups

In July, 2021 – A team of lecturers from the Faculty of Architecture, Khon Kaen University were invited to run workshops for two OTOP women groups by the Office of Community Development of Khon Kaen. The team was led by Ajarn Lattaporn Chanthonglang and Ajarn Khwanhathai Thada, whose presentation was on “Building Image by Product Logos and Cases. The other talk was on “Building a Competition Standpoint against Marketing Rivals” by Ajarn Monthida Lertnnimanoradee and Ajarn Akkaphon Lamuang. The event took place at Green Hotel and Resort, Nai Muang District, Muang District, Khon Kaen.

The workshops were aimed at strengthening the OTOP women groups in group management and development of product qualities. The target groups of the training included 2 OTOP manufacturers and 2 entrepreneurs; one representative or a representative from each of the Tambon Women Development Committees; one community development officer responsible for OTOP from each district; and 3 officers from the province. The attendants were trained practically in searching the identity, product brand, in designing product casing and marketing plan in order to be able to plan their manufacturing and promote their selling by themselves.

The Office of Khon Kaen Community Development strictly followed the Covid-19 measures to prevent the spread of the disease, by asking all participants and organizers to wear masks and clean their hands with alcohol gel at the workshops, as well as observing social distancing.

The trainers finally thanked Khun Chamroen Waenphet, Khon Kaen Provincial Development Office, Khun Jirapa Chuaduangphui, Head of the Community Development Promotion of Khon Kaen, Khun Uraiporn Thinwimon, the officer in charge of the project, and all those who were involved.
